The G9 s Face Definition technology is ideal for party shots and portraits, as it automatically detects the faces of nine subjects within a frame, then sets the optimum focus and exposure. There s a large 3 inch LCD screen, while its 6x optical zoom lens (35-210mm equivalent) also has a Small Radius (SR) coating which significantly reduces the problem of ghosting and virtually eliminates chromatic aberration. The Powershot G9 features Advanced Noise Reduction, iSAPS and 9-point AiAF for fast, sharp results, 25 shooting modes including full manual control and 30fps VGA movie clips with sound. Its DIGIC III processor further improves performance with noise reduction and up to ISO 1600 sensitivity. This highly impressive piece of kit also offers RAW image recording, allowing you greater flexibility in post-shoot editing.
