Krystian Zimerman teams up with Sir Simon Rattle for a masterful recording of Brahms's First Piano Concerto.
In September 2003, two musical legends - pianist Krystian Zimerman and Sir Simon Rattle - joined forces for the Berliner Philharmoniker's season opening series in two unforgettable performances of Brahms's First Piano Concerto.
Inspired by these sensational live performances, Zimerman and Rattle took their collaboration to the recording studio, where they recreated their concert chemistry for this masterful recording of Brahms's First Piano Concerto.
This new version of Brahms' First Piano Concerto is the only Brahms recording currently available with Krystian Zimerman, whom his compatriot Artur Rubinstein has called a 'natural Brahms player'.
