19th Century French vignerons planted the limestone slopes of Cahul, Moldova, with the king of red grapes - Cabernet. The result - glorious reds that were served at Russia's Imperial Court between glasses of Roederer Cristal Champagne and Chateau d'Yquem. Moldova is now reliving its former glory with brilliant wines. Beautifully mellow, Legenda Cabernet is a great alternative for those of you who enjoy fruity Medoc claret. It's rich but firm in texture and packed with ripe, complex Cabernet flavours. Stylistically and, almost geographically, midway between classic Bordeaux and the New World. Deep colour with ripe cassis and damson fruit and a luxurious silky richness. Superb with rich Beef Stroganoff or Sunday roasts.
